Our Story of Bear-Inspired Coffee

The idea for Tres Osos Coffee came in the middle of a road trip in the bear country of western Canada, a land where black bears, brown bears and polar bears live in the wild.    

At Tres Osos Coffee, we embrace the robust essence of bears in every roast, sourcing and roasting premium beans to deliver a rich flavor experience. We select coffee from around world, tailoring each roast to the specific bean’s country of origin.  Our artisanal blends capture the wild and untamed flavors that are lost in mass-produced grocery store or chain store coffee.  We appeal to coffee connoisseurs seeking a unique brew.

Our lightest roast, Ursus Maritimus, is dedicated to the polar bear.  Ursus Arctos, our medium roast, gives a nod to brown bears.  And our darkest roast, Ursus Americanus, takes its inspiration from black bears. Tres Osos, which means “three bears” in Spanish, also honors our dog Oso, who thinks he is a bear whenever he sees one.  

Together, our three roasts are the three bears:  Tres Osos.
